Good day everyone!
Today is the day I start writing reflection entries. These entries serve as my reflection on the ideas that I have read, comments from people, and most importantly, my experience living what I wrote.
The first one in my list of ideas shared, is the most controversial one. The idea that “Who We Really Are” is God. In case, you are looking for that entry, it can be found in this link. When I first read about this, I started wondering… how can this be? How can we, who are limited, weak, sinful, etc. be God? Isn’t God omniscient, omnipotent, Holy, almighty, the Alpha and the Omega, etc.? How can we, mere mortals, be “the One”?
One great quality I acquired from listening to my dad’s stories is the skill of changing perspectives. By looking at an idea using more than one perspective, we get to see other Truths we cannot see before (or at least, chose to deny).
Indeed, “we are Perfect” starts to make sense if we analyze ourselves in the perspective of “we are unlimited”. Think about it, do we really have limits? Or are we just setting up our own limits? There has been a lot of records of “miracles” ranging from people surviving deadly sickness to people falling from tall buildings unhurt. Are they really miracles? Or in reality, every single one of us can do the same (but cannot, since we “think” we can’t).
“We are Perfect” starts to make sense if we analyze how the world works. Has anybody read/watched “The Secret”? For those who haven’t watched or read it yet, basically it shows us one secret about the world. The secret is the Law of Attraction. Anything you think of, sends a signal to the world, and attracts it to you. For instance, if you continuously think/believe that you have all the money you need to enjoy life… then you will get it sooner or later. On the other hand, if you keep thinking negative things. Well, they will still be attracted to you, and sooner or later, you will be miserable. How is this possible? Well, maybe you can read more about it in the Internet. Or you can choose to watch the movie or read the novel (The Secret). =)
On the other hand, “we are Perfect” is blasphemy if we side ourselves with the Church. The Church teaches us about sins, about what God wants and what God doesn’t. The Church teaches us that we will be sent to hell on our death if we do not accept Jesus Christ as our personal Lord and Savior. Etc etc. Tell me if I’m wrong (well, not all Churches are like that…) But there still exists some that teaches us those messages. And it is these teachings that truly distance us from God (I have a really interesting entry about this in this link).
Now, going back to my topic of reflection. If indeed we are unlimited and Perfect, does that instantly make us God? Well, using logic, those reasons are not enough.
What would provide support for this claim then? Well, this is why I added the entry about “How Everything Came to Be”. Contained in the entry is the purpose of God on our creation. The entry can be found in this link. It’s a pretty short entry thus I find no need to summarize it here.
So finally, knowing the purpose on why God created us, lesser versions of God because we forgot Who We Really Are, thus cannot be considered God until we remember). Knowing the fact that we are that which is unlimited and Perfect. These can more-or-less lead us to concluding that we are indeed God (not we as individuals, but we as a whole).
I come to accept this idea and it pretty much explains a lot about life, society, people, and how things work. I am quite sure there will be many of will be opposing this idea. But really now, what will opposing do? =) If a state-of-mind can help you enjoy life and live it to the fullest, why must it be stopped and prevented? Is it because you don’t like seeing people happy? Or is it because you despise those that are different from you? =)
Next reflection entry will be about this: Our natural urge for power. =)
Have a nice day everyone!

Basically, what you are writing here is based on your perspective or point of view. Since not everyone has the same point of view, expect that some people will choose to oppose what you are writing here. ^_^

Hi silkenhut,
Yep. Generally, everything in this world is a matter of perspective (of relativity). Thus we can never be accepted by everyone. But thats fine. =) My goal here is just to share a new point-of-view. If it helps others, then great! Otherwise, its never wrong to be open-minded. =)
Thanks for being here. =)

Hi rachelle,
Thanks for reminding me about the perfect world idea. I’ll write about it soon (within the week). Anyway, you asked us how come we get sick despite I said that we are “perfect”. I will answer it here using a variety of reasonings.
First, let us scrutinize how to determine perfection. Assuming you are indeed perfect… how will you be able to “know” or “experience” perfection? How will you be able to confirm that you are indeed perfect? Isn’t it that we require something/someone who we find “less” perfect and we relate to the someone/something?
With that reasoning, without “others” to relate to, there is no such thing as “perfection” nor “imperfection”. You cannot say you are beautiful, if you cannot find those which you see as “less beautiful”. You cannot say that you are smart, if you cannot find anyone “less smart” than you.
Given this way of thinking, we now see that there is no such thing as “perfect” or “not perfect” if we have no one besides ourselves to relate to. (I mean… there is only one person existing in the world)
Now… let us shift to another way-of-thinking…
We also know that everything in this world is relative. Meaning.. what is “perfect” for you, may not necessarily be “perfect” for me. What is beautiful for you, may not be beautiful for me. What then, will be the basis for truth? =) Isn’t it only natural that our truth be found within us? (We don’t base truth on what others think.. unless you lack faith in yourself).
Using this way of thinking… is it really true that being sick makes you “not” perfect? For a mother, when her baby keeps crying every hour makes it “not” perfect for her? My point is simply this…. “perfection” is quite relative. You only find perfection where you desire to see it.
For people who are deeply in love… isn’t it that even though their partner is “bad” to them…. they still see him/her as perfect? =)
Once again… perfection is found where you desire to see it.
So to conclude, going back to your question… “If we are perfect, how come we get sick?” My answer will be this: Being “sick” does not make us any less perfect. Don’t you think that being “sick” is part of our perfection? That our soul desires to be sick in order to experience our perfection. =)

hey, I know this doesn’t have anything to do with your posts, but I’ve read this riddle in a manhwa and it kept me thinking.
what would you choose? to be loved by everybody except the person you love, or to be loved by only the person you love? +_+

Hi rachelle,
That’s fine. Well, my answer for that question is “to be loved by only the person I love.” My personal reason is this: “I really want to experience being loved (how it feels to be loved by someone special). Well, if I get to be loved by everybody except the person I love… then I won’t get to experience what I wanted.
Though I’m sure there will be people who would choose to be loved by everybody except the person they love. =) But I guess.. there’s only a few of them. ^^

I don’t think everything in this world is relative. I am highly relativist. But I still do believe that there is one universal truth such that there is one universal beauty, one universal good, etc. The Universal Truth is one which no one can deny though I believe it’s hard to attain…and according to some, it is attained through enlightenment. Since I know you are already an enlightened person, don’t you think you’re supposed to be working on universal ideas rather than on relative ones?
Just askin’…

Hi kris,
One universal truth… I really wonder what it is. If that is the basis for enlightenment, then I would say.. I’m not enlightened as I thought I was.
I used to believe in universalism. However, as I go along and learn from experience.. I see that everything is relative. Perhaps, that is the answer… the universal truth is relativism itself.
How does relativism work? Let’s have a quick peek at how people see God. Some people love God because they believe they have been blessed by God with abundance and good health. Some people love God despite having a “tough” life. Some people stopped believing in God because no matter how hard they pray, they dont seem to be getting any answers. Well, there are certainly more cases/examples of this.. but it will be very troublesome to write them all up.
The point there is… the more you know… the more you realize that you still have much to know. Different people have different perspectives simply because we all come from different places, ideas, situations, lives (different ways of being brought up). Thus I believe, true wisdom comes from accepting everyone’s truth. =) (Isn’t it that I have been saying we are all One (manifested in infinite bodies)
Nonetheless, I’ll be working on “Utopia” for my next entries. =) It will tackle on society and how we “evolve”. =)
Thanks for your comment kris =)

I would like to add to the “Universal Truth”… in the book “Conversations with God”… there is this concept of “Divine Dichotomy”. Basically what it say is that between two ideas seemingly contradicting each other, the truth there is “both of them are true”.
Let me cite an example:
There is nothing that God is not. Thus…
God: “I Am what I Am” and “I Am what I Am Not”.
See the point? =)
